TWO-DAY OSCILLATION OF THE EQUATORIAL ANOMALY

摘要: 文章揭示出赤道异常两日振荡的四个特点,即:1、两日振荡在一天之内的发展消亡过程与赤道异常同步;2、赤道异常南北峰附近的振荡相位与磁赤道附近的振荡相位相反;3、赤道异常南北峰附近开始同步振荡的时间比磁赤道附近晚3小时左右;4、振幅靠南北峰附近最强并随着纬度的增加而逐渐减小直至最后消失。Abstract: four features of the 2-day oscillations of the equatorial anomaly(Here after abbreviated as TDOEA) are revealed. The superposition of the planetary scale oscillations of the equatorial anomaly with different periods are discussed and used to explain the day-to-day variation of the equatorial anomaly. Moreover the difference of the variations of the foF2 caused by the ionospheric storm from the TDOEA are found out. The mechanism of the TDOEA is also given.
