赤道电离层F层不均匀体及其在东亚的特性(英文)

EQUATORIAL IONOSPHERIC F REGION IRREGULARITILES AND ITS CHARACTERISTICS AT EAST ASIA SECTOR:A REVIEW

  • 摘要: 赤道电离层F层不均匀体是一种夜间电离层等离子体偏离正常分布的扰动现象。它然极为深远的空间物理意义。夜间离子体不均匀体一般可分为两类:汽泡不均匀体和底部正弦型不均匀体,它们对应于不同的激发机制,发展规律和空间物理效应。汽泡不均匀体是赤道电离层电场和背景等离子体分布的共同作用结果,F层底部的大尺度扰动由于重力瑞利-泰勒不稳定性的放大,在E×B漂移的推动下,向上运动形成等离子体汽泡,并通过级联过程将自由能向短波不均匀体传输,导致各种尺度等离子体不均匀体的发展。

     

    Abstract: Equatorial ionospheric F region irregularities show different features at various longitudes and latitudes. Still, their diurnal,seasonal and solar cycle variations are local related. Irregularities are primarily nighttime effects with two diverse kinds: bubble irregularity associated with range spread F and bottomside sinusoidal irregularity related with frequency spread F. The generation development and decay processes of these irregularities spread are of leading values in the understanding of the basic features of low latitude ionospheric physical phenomena.The bubble irregularity and sometimes BSS irregularity result in the strong VHF/UHF scintillations which cause many problems in satellite communication. In this review paper we will outline recent progresses of irrdgularity studies in both theoretical researches and experimental ovservations with much attention paid to the east Asia sector.
