The Simulation and Formation of Fractal Images

Abstract
This paper gives a brief introduction for a new branch of the science of images—the science of fractal images. We make a simple exposition of the general technique and method for simulating and forming the fractal images. Several typical examples of the fractal limages are given in this paper. They are the chaotic fractal image of Lorenz strange attractor, one dimensional reflecting attractor of the iterated equation of Xn+1=1-μXn2, the random fractal simulation of the aggregation,the formation of KOCH curve and the formation of the branch of one tree in the method of Iterated Function System(IFS). The possible implications of these techniques in astronomy are also discussed.
