1.2m Satell ite Laser Ranging System and It's Noise-restraint

In this paper, we briefly introduce the history and current status of the subject of Satellite Laser Ranging(SLR). After a brief introduction of the science application of SLR, the structure of Laser Ranging System(LRS)and the development of the components which make up the LRS are introduced. We also discuss the main sources of range error in the ranging experiment, while the ways to remove or minimize the range error are discussed. We also introduce the 1.2m LRS of Yunnan Observatory in detail which is under test now. At the last part of the article, the technology rest raining noise of 1.2m LRS is introduce specifically.
