Abstract

A new Astronomy Video Image Acquisition System(AVIAS)is used in the image processing of comet Hale-Bopp and α Gem which were recorded by a video camera (PanasonicNV-S880EN)on May 1, 1997. It is shown that: 1. The details of multi-integration images for comet Hale-Bopp and α Gem are more distinct than that of single image. 2. The faint star near α Gem can not be found in the single frame image but can be recognized in the multi-integration image
