  • On the basis of the solar-terrestrial relations, investigations of the influences of solar activities upon the human beings epidemic diseases are made in this paper.According to the data of 15 kinds of epidemic diseases in Yunnan province, the curves of the occurrence of various diseases with time are presented to compare with the Wolf curve of sunspot numbers, and the correlation coefficients of each kind of the 15 diseases with the sunspot numbers are calculated. Our preliminary results show that solar activities have no definite relation respectively with scarlet fever, malaria, anthrax, whooping cough pertussis, diphtheria, influenza, epidemic encephalitis B,bacillary dysentery, measles rubeola, poliomyelitis, fasiolopsiasis, and viral hepatitis, but correlate respectively with typhoid fever, epidemic typhus, and epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis.
