Abstract
We have identified three Lyα absorbers with absorption-line redshifts higher than emission-line redshifts in the spectra of SDSS J101108+553407. Except for the absorption line of Lyαλ1216, the highly ionized absorption lines (N Vλλ1238, 1242, and/or C IVλ1551) have also been measured in each of the absorption systems. The absorption-line redshifts are 3.3332, 3.3496, and 3.3553, respectively. The corresponding Doppler velocities are 410 km/s, 773 km/s, and 1166 km/s, respectively. We also discuss the origins of the three absorbers. The absorber with the largest Doppler velocity likely originates in a cloud that is moving toward the center of quasar, but the other two absorbers may be in clouds moving around the center of quasar and lie in the host galaxy. This scenario is consistent with previous studies.
