A Revisit of the Luminosity-Ep relation of Gamma-Ray Bursts

Abstract
Using 5218 time-resolved spectra for 185 Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) we revise the relation between isotropic-equivalent luminosities (Liso) and peak energies (E'p) of the vFv spectra in the rest frames of GRBs. We discuss possible implications of this relation for the fireball models. Our studies show that (1) the relation Liso∝E'p2 holds for GRBs individually and collectively, and (2) both the kinetic-energy dominated internal shock model and the magnetic-dissipation dominated external shock model can well interpret the Liso∝E'p2 and the value of ω. It is found that our results are in good agreement with those of Liang et al. 2004.
