Abstract
This paper introduces an automatic observation system for fast obtaining full-disk solar magnetograms in the HSOS (Huairou Solar Observation Station). This new system improves the capabilities of the driving control module for adjusting wavebands and wave-plates, the voltage-modulating circuit for changing states of the KD*P crystal, and the data-acquisition software. With these improvements, an observer can click a mouse to automatically retrieve the three parameters (L, Q, U) for a vector magnetogram, with the time cost reduced from the previous 3 to 5 minutes to about 30 seconds now. In addition, a flare-observation mode of the system can be automatically triggered by an Hα flare. In this mode solar magnetic-field or monochromatic data can be recorded at the maximum speed of the CCD, about 48f/s. These allow observers in the HSOS to have simultaneous high-resolution data of two layers of the solar atmosphere.
