Abstract
According to the theory of seeing measurement based on image motion, we proposed a new method of seeing-parameter measurement in which seeing can be measured by a telescope a 10cm aperture with human influences and the telescope optical quality variational effects. The methodology used in this paper is to measure the vibration of telescope with an acceleration sensor, then to calculate the painting telescope vibrations using the integration and filtering of acceleration signals, and finally to subtract the estimated vibrations from a single-star image motion. This is to eliminate the impact of telescope vibration. So we design a set of vibration measurement equipments, and compare observation results with these to those obtained with DIMM. We need to apply high-frequency bandpass filtering because the integration of signals can generate low frequency components. The choice of cut-off frequency can affect the result seeing parameter greatly. Therefore, this method can reduce the impact of telescope movement for the seeing measurement to certain extent. However because of residual movement effects and accumulation of integration error, there is a large difference between the final observation results with DIMM and this method.
