Abstract
The LAMOST spectral recording system consists of 32 scientific CCD cameras. This makes LAMOST different from traditional telescopes, and leads to its higher observing capability.Meanwhile, this raises challenges for controlling the CCD camera system. The MASTER software is designed as the general controller and status analyzer for the LAMOST CCD cameras. It forwards OCS commands to the cameras and collects information of states from the camera controllers. In this paper we describe the camera control software, the UCAM as used for the LAMOST.According to the OCS protocol, command and status interfaces to the OCS are incorporated in the MASTER.We describe dataflows in the MASTER for processing/managing the OCS commands and information of CCD states. Finally we show a stellar spectrum and a quasar spectrum for sample preview. The MASTER now functions properly in scientific observation.
