  • The stiffness of the polar axis' hydrostatic oil pads system in three directions was represented by the stiffness value of a single oil pad in two types of cylindrical and spherical journal.We have determined the relationships between the systems stiffness and the latitude,the setting angle of oil pads.While we obtain the optimum values of setting angle of oil pads corresponding various latiudes.
