Analysis of Anisoplanatic Errors in Adaptive Optical Systems Based on Natural Guiding Stars

Abstract
This paper uses the filter functions of Zernike components to derive the formula for the anisoplanatic error, which arise from the offsets between observed objects and guiding stars.At the same time, numerical results from the formula are given for the residual wave-front errors in adaptive optical systems after the correction for the tilting effects.Furthermore, this paper studies for the first time the expression to correct differential piston angular anisoplanatism in adaptive optical observation through astronomical optical interferometers.These results may provide the theoretical basis for the practical error correction of adaptive optical systems.
