  • This paper describes in detail the principle of a correlator for microwave holographic measurement and the implementation of it based on FPGA.The descriptions include the basic method for holographic measurement, and are mainly on the designs of the key or complex components of the correlator on an FPGA chip.We bave given it particular importance in our designs to save resources on FPGA as these approaches can yield rather useful hints for practical design of DSP based on FPGA.Finally, we analyze and verify the output data from the correlator.Our design has been incorporated into the holographic measurement at the Seshan observational station in Shanghai.
