The Adjustment Methods of the Optical Systems of "Level Mounting" Schmidt Telescopes

Recently a team including the author installed a Schmidt telescope in the Delinha Observational Station.In addition, we designed and fabricated a device named as"level mounting"to replace the old mounting system of the Schmidt telescope of the Yunnan Observatory, which was originally made in Germany.For these two telescopes, the diameters of correctors are Ф400mm or so, and their effective focal lengths are nearly 800mm.Both telescopes can be used for detecting man-made satellites and space debris, and thus can serve the launch mission of the"Shen zhou"spacecraft.With CCD chips as the receivers the working efficiencies have been increased substantially.The alignment methods and procedures of the optical systems of the two telescopes are described in detail by this paper.
