Monitoring System for the Spectroscope Slit of 2.4m Telescope

To monitor the slit image of the spectroscope on Yunnan 2.4m telescope, a low-cost CCD camera was set up.The system is based on CPLD and PC-104 platform.Using pcAnywhere, a third party software, the camera can be controlled remotely.The camera is functionally tested for slit image monitoring, and can be developed into an auto guide system and also can be used in the Robotic observation.This paper describes the software and hardware design and testing results.
