An Imaging System Based on EMCCD from TI

In order to find new method for dark object imaging,an imaging system based on EMCCD(Electron Multiply CCD) chip with gain register manufactured by TI Company is developed to test the performance of the chip,which is an initial stage for the further development of astronomy camera.In this article,the structure feature of EMCCD and its working principles are introduced.The photon counting system developed based on TI EMCCD chip is described in detail,and the testing result of EMCCD performance based on this system is given.
