  • In this work, we employ a sample of quasars with some of their absorption redshifts larger than their emission redshifts and make a correlation analysis between the two quantities. The analysis reveals a very significant correlation between the two kinds of redshfits. Our study leads to the following conclusions: a) the main part of these anomalous absorption redshifts must be the cosmological one; b) the relative motion of the absorbers of quasars is mild; c) it is suggested that the absorbers producing the anomalous absorption redshifts must be inside the host galaxies or quasars and move towards the corresponding quasars.
