Status of the International Network of Gravitational-Wave Detectors

  • Gravitational-wave is one of the important deduction of the general relativity. Gravitational-wave has never been observed directly. The International Gravitational Event Collaboration of resonant-bar operated together at the end years of last century. The international network of laser interferometer gravitational-wave detectors has recently been approved after nearly two-decade construction. The cross correlating run should be started in next one or two years. An exciting news for gravitational-wave detection comes from the current discovery and analysis of double neutron star system.
