Abstract
In an earlier paper, based on the knowledge of blazars we predicted common existence of X-ray jets within ~10 kpc from the nucleus in radio-loud AGNs.Recent Chandra X-ray observations for low-power radio galaxies are consistent with our predictions. In this paper, we study the electron accelerations in the kpc scale jets, and propose to study the importance of Compton cooling and the environmental differences between the inner compact jets and the larger scale extended jets in red blazars through Chandra X-ray observation for the predicted X-ray jets in powerful FR Ⅱ radio galaxies, to further test our model for kpc scale X-ray jets in radio-loud AGNs.
