Abstract
The statistical relationship between the 46 comparatively large proton events of magnitude≥O during 1967-1972,and the solar microwave bursts,is investigated in this paper. The investigation shows that, after the classification of the radio bursts by the total duration time T,the radio burst parameters, closely associated with the strengths of the solar proton flux, may be found in various duration time r'anges respectively(the correlation coefficients are0.83-0.91).Applying the alarm program obtained from these burst parameters to the prediction of proton flux with, the error ranges of 0.5-1 magnititudes(s-s classification1,the rate of correct prediction may be 70-94%,that of false prediction is about 52%.Besides,the statisticsl results also show that, the average duration time Tm proposed by Groom2 is not correlated with the strength of proton flux N,and it cannot be used to predict the strength of proton flux at this wave length at least.
