Spectral Analysis of the D3 Emission Lines of a Mound Prominence II-Physical Properties of the Active Edge and the Mound Prominence

Abstract
Based on the fitting results of the D3 emission lines of the mound prominence above the solar east limb on May 5,1984,physical properties of the active edge and the mound prominence are reduced.It is found that the active edge in front of the mound prominence is formed by the intermittent ejections of the matter with different density and different temperature at different time during the early period of the observations,and the microturbulent velocity is unusually large,about 30 km/s.The physical property of the mound prominence is normal and common,and its Doppler width of the D3 lines can generally be interpreted with low temperature of 5000~8000K and a turbulent velocity of 3 to 8 km/s.
