Lunar Occultations Observed in Japan and Lunar Limb Profiles Derived

  • Lunar occultation observations are useful in refining lunar limb profiles, which will be used for the analysis of solar eclipse observations to detect the variation of the solar diameter, and in detecting the possible errors of the Hipparcos propermotion system.Many lunar occultations have been observed in Japan.Some of the result sare shown in this paper to encourage people in the world to observe more lunar occultations with bet ter accuracies.
