Observations of Ultraluminous IRAS Galaxies at 20cm

An ultraluminous IRAS galaxy sample has been observed at 20cm using the Australia Compact Array (AT).The far-infrared luminosity in the sample, logL_FIR(L⊙), is >11.8 (H₀=50 km s^-1Mpc^-1, q₀ =0.5).(Radio emission is detected from 19 sources among 37 IRAS galaxies. The radio parameters, for example, peak position, radioflux, etc, are obtained.The radio power P20cm in the sample is in the range 22.9 20cm(W/Hz)<23.8.The paper presents the preliminary observational results on the sample at 20cm.
