Abstract
The earth-based solar telescope and its surrounding facilities could be heated by the solar radiation during the operation, the air near the telescope optical path could be heated by the hot surfaces, thereby forming the atmosphere turbulence around them which causes the degradation of the image quality. The method of alleviating the influence from the atmosphere turbulence on the image quality is to suppress the temperature differences between the surface of the solar telescope, its surrounding facilities and the air.According to the actual measurement of the coating layer temperature and the air temperature, the feasibility analysis about the temperature control by the coating layer on the surface of the solar telescope and its surrounding facilities is presented in this paper. The result shows that the coating layeris capable of keeping its temperature close to the air temperature in the complicated thermal environment.Compared with the water cooling, the coating cooling is much better for the temperature control and more applicable. All these methods make the coating cooling feasible for the temperature control of solar telescope and its surrounding facilities.
