Kunming Satellite Orbit Determination Station for Chinese Area Position System (CAPS)

Determination of satellite orbit by transfer, based on the Two Way Satellite Time and Frequency Transfer, is implemented with the observations of multi-stations.The distances between a satellite and ground stations are determined. The net of ground stations with the VAST system is established for the CAPS project. Kunming station is one of them. The frequency of all equipments in Kunming is controlled by an atomic clock and all status can be set up as well as monitored. The time delay of instruments can be determined. It can carry out functions such as orbit determination and time synchronization at remote stations.
