An Analysis of TT & C Station Selection of iHCO Satellite in CAPS

  • The inclined Highly Circular Orbit (iHCO) communication satellites, which are on orbits 150-300km above the Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO), can be used to build global navigation and communication constellation of Chinese Area Positioning System (CAPS). Based on the development of the world telemetry, tracking, and command (TT & C) network, this paper analyzes the visibility of iHCO satellites, puts forward the optimization layout of TT & C network, and explores the azimuth, elevation and distance (AER) characteristics of the satellite-ground links.
