A Design and Implementation of Domain-specific Ontology of Astronomy

Considering the situation of knowledge in astronomical domain, this paper puts forward a set of oriented ontology-building method based on the definition, expression and concept analysis of domain-specific ontology of astronomy. Through the determined core concept, layer structures are built and attributes of concepts are defined; example is given and the domain-specific ontology of astronomy is modeled and a design of the domain-specific ontology of astronomy is provided in detail. This paper builds the ontology model through open source protégé. It gives a specific elaboration on the overall process of domain-specific ontology building. It also provides a detailed description about the class, class attributes and the definition of relationship between different classes.
