Abstract
To dynamically monitor the oversea and unmanned telescopes, this paper proposes a method checking the working status of 15cm telescopes of APOSOS (Asia-Pacific Ground-based Optical Space Object Observation System) project, by using celestial positioning and axis positioning data together. First, calculate the error of the observed celestial positioning and axis positioning data, then determine whether the telescope is in normal operating state by analyzing and comparing the error range of them. This method can be used in dynamically monitoring of oversea and unmanned telescope. Applying this method to two 15cm APOSOS telescopes located in Iran and Pakistan, we find that azimuth errors of one telescope reached more than one hundred arc seconds, which means that there may be some problems in the equipment. The time and location, when and where the problems appeared, were further determined by comparing the observation data errors of this equipment in both domestic and abroad regions. Reports from the site confirmed the analysis result, which proved the validity of the method.
