Abstract
Observation Control System (OCS) is currently a research hotspot. The underlying communication is an important part of OCS architecture. However, the traditional OCS is generally implemented by bare socket technology. It lacks a unified transmission control mechanism. There are often delays in intensive data communication, which affects the need for real-time control. At the same time, the lack of broadcast and multicast mechanisms limits the design of OCS. According to the requirements of OCS, this paper systematically researches and analyzes the different communication models based on ZeroMQ and the corresponding astronomical control modes, it also analyzes the availability of different communication control architecture. On this basis, the corresponding communication model is tested by experiments to verify its availability in the distributed control of astronomical instruments. The test results further show that it is feasible for ZeroMQ to construct the underlying communication architecture of OCS. ZeroMQ can also meet the various control requirements of OCS for the equipment.
