Abstract
A blackbody (500K) has been developed which is used as a standard radiant for the calibration of a near infrared photometer at Yunnan Observatory. The observations show that the range of changes in temperature of the blackbody is less than ±0.5K at 500K and, this satisfies the requirements of the calibration and examination of the near infrared photometer.
