Abstract

This paper describes the historical status for determining the original point of a catalogue, and perfectly introduces the basic methods in which the original point of a catalogue is determined from the observations of the sun, the moon, planets, minor planets and satellites. General researches are made on the determination precisions of the original point and the methods using the bodies in solar system to determine the original point of a catalogue during the past one hundred years.
