Abstract
Using data observed at 15.3GHz in the MOJAVE (Monitoring Of Jets in Active galactic nuclei with VLBA Experiments), we investigated possible periods of radio-band light variations of 59 blazars with the Power Spectral Density (PSD) method. Our results suggest that there are physical periods of light variations of the blazars observed in the radio band ranging from 2.6 years to 11.1 years. The periods show no statistical correlation with redshifts of the blazars. In addition, we have not found any statistical correlation between periods of light variations observed at 14.5GHz and redshifts for 110 AGN either.
