A Computation Formula for the Satellite Atmospheric Drag Coefficient

The tendecy of variation in the drag coefficient in the course of the motion of a satellite in the free molecular flow and transitional areas is obtained from the results of the theoretical computation and wind tunnel tests and the measurements taken with satellite orbital data for the drag coefftcient. A drag coefficient formula which is suitable for the computation of the satellite atmospheric drag perturbation is also given in this paper.
