The Light Curved in the Strong Charged Gravitational Field

  • In the late seventies, a "twin quasi-stellar object" was discovered in the universe. The majority of astronomers considered it might be caused by the gravitational lens effect, an inference of the general theory of relativity. But the gravitational theory proposed previously has not taken into account the influence of an electric field on the gravitation field. In this article, based on the geireral theory of relativity, the gravitational lens effect produced by the charged gravitation field is considered. The result shows that the lens effect of the charged gravitation field is smaller than that of the uncharged one;and therefore the quantity of electric charge of a celestial body can be determined.
