  • From basic principles and derivation of the formulae it is analyzed to using the stellar interferometer to determine stellar positions and earth rotation parameters (ERP). It is shown from results that the stellar positions can be determined independently of the baseline stability, but, for the determination of ERP the problem of baseline stability, no matter which method is used, is the premise of bringing the potentiality of stellar interferometer into play.
