Yunnan Observatory has obtained many valuable data of magnetic fields of solar active regions.However,only the average total magnitic fields intensity on an area of 2.3"×1.5" could be measured because of.the limitation of the polarization grating.In this paper a.new design is suggested by adding a Wallaston prism in the optical path without changing,the original instrument.The method could quite enhance the spatial resolution of the observation of magnetic fields in solar active regions.
