A Modern Design of Telescope Drives

The mechanical design of drives for Solar Fine Construction Telescopes which were ordered by Yunnan Observatory and Purple Mountain Observatory is described in^this,paper.The design specificity is that the necessary various angular velocities both for the right ascension and declination axes can be obtained by only one stepping motor respectively.Presently this driving mecha-nism has been produced and mounted on the telescope and worked successfully for.the-trial observation.
