A Programmable Control System for Small Radiotelescope Dishes

A open loop control system has been made to run a small radiotelescope dish.A TP801-A single board computer is chosen as the master controller.Step motors are used as driving motors for both right ascension and declination.The initial fixed directions in both coordinates of the system are determined by means of a photoelecctric system,A computer-compatible IC clock is used to get the time base of the system.And a low consumption RAM is adopted so that the position parameters of the dish will always be storaged even when power break and power off.By such a system any small radiotelescope dish could be controlled in programmable mode with a low cost.
