Comparison of the Traditional Method with the All-Star-Adjustment Method for Compiling An Observational Catalog

The all-star-balancing method for drawing up the initial meridianand almucantur catalogues is essentially different from the traditional method for drawing up initial catalogues. From the analyses and comparisons of the requirements of observation, error processing, establi_hment of systems, and so forth, it is shown that at present the all-star-balarxing method is one of the better methods for drawing up initial catalogues.
