An introduction to Hainan Sounding Rocket site and Ground-based Synthetic Station of Space Physics

In order to develop low latitude/near equatorial sounding and research of stratosphere, middie and upper atmosphere, in 1986 former Institute of Space Physics(presently Research Center for Space Science and Application), Chinese Academy of Science, began to establish the Hainan experimental field of space sounding. It consists of two parts: sounding rocket site and ground-based synthetic station.
