TEC FLUCTUATION DUE TO THE SEVERE STORMS IN MARCH 1989

  • The TEC fluctuation due to the great geomagnetic storms in March 1989, which isattributed to a series of solar flares from AR 5395, was observed by a three-stationFaraday rotation array. The three polarimeters receiving satellite beacon of ETS-Ⅱ wereset at Wuhan, Tianmen and Anlu, which were spaced about 100 km from each other so as to monitor both the spacial and the temporal variation of TEC fluctuation.
