Abstract

During the solar event in march 1989 continued observations to whistler and VLF emission were carried out in Mohe and Harbin. In this article we will describe the types of whistler and the rate of occurence and discuss the relation between the whistler activity and Kp-index during the solar event at Mohe station.Results indicate that when magnetic storm is strong enough, whistler activity in middle latitude is in negative correlation with Kp-index.
