SEASONAL VARIATIONS OF THE foF2 AND TEC

    Abstract
  • The ionospheric characteristic parameters foF2 and TEC closely follow the variation of solar ultraviolet strength, i.e. foF2 and TEC have a period of 11-year. On such large period behaviour, a very strong seasonal variation factor is added. In this paper, the seasonal factor is analysed and the statistical relationships are given.
