Abstract
In this paper, a statistical analysis is made on VHF Faraday rotations and UHF amplitude scintillations by using the recordings of VHF beacon signal from the Japanse satellite ETS-n at 130°E and UHF television signal from Soviet satellite Geostationary Station-T(Hereafter abbreviated as GS-T) at 99°E obtained at Wuchang during the Period Sept. 1988 through May 1989. The characteristics are summarized as follows:(1) a postsunset enhancement in TEC;(2) coexistence of VHF fast Faraday Rotation Fluctuation(Hereafter abbreviated as FRF) with UHF amplitude scintillation;(3) irregularties causing scintillation drift from West to East with a drift speeds of about 90-140 m/s.
