Abstract

The activities of sunspots and proton flares observed during the rising phase of Cycle 22 arc statistically analysed in this paper, with the results showing that there arc really some distinctive features of the solar activities during this period. And the solar active longitudes during the rising phase are determined to be L220°-300° and L70°-130°. In addition, four strong active regions are also described.
