The Spectral Characteristics of the No.2 Thin CCD of the Yunnan Observatory

  • The spactral characteristics and measuring methods of the No.1 and No.2 thin CCDs of the Yunnan Observatory are given in this paper. The measured results show that the No.2 thin CCD system has the spectral response within the range of the wavelengths from 3300Å to 11000 Å. The observed results show that the cfficincy of the No.2 CCD is 1.5 or 3 magnitudes higher than that of the photographic dry plate of Kodak IIa 0 or 103 a-F. The effect of the interference fringe is similar to that the No.l thin CCD. The effect can be eliminated by use of the established method and the CCD can be used for the spectral, observation.
