Solar Radio Decimeteric Spike Radiation and Metric Radio Bursts

The millisecond spike events from January 1990 to March 1991 observed and recorded with the fast sampling radio telescopes at four frequencies at the Yunnan Observatory are analysed in this paper. With the data combined with those of the radio outbursts at the metric wave-band published by the Solar-Geophysical Data during this time, the various features of the millisecond spikes are given. The relation between the millisecond spikes and the solar radio bursts of types Ⅲ, Ⅱ and Ⅳ is also summarized. Finally, the corresponding explanation and discussion are presented.
