Study of the Driving Interface and Software of the Tape Recorder for the Microcomputer Data Flow

With regard to the microcomputer system for the large-scale data acquisition and processing, after being acquired and pre-processed, the data usually needs to be converted to a computer with strong function for the further processing, according to the predetermined format. Therefore, the removable mass external memory devices are increasingly important.But the drive software of these devices equipped in PC only supports the fixed tape file format, and lack of the software and hardware documents, it is difficult to use these devices efficiently and to exchange information.In the light of the data streaming tape device used by microcomputers generally, this paper will comprehensively reports on the basic I/O procedures included in a new drive software package. The user's program can conveniently call this software package to read and write the arbitrary tape data format.
