The Strongest Active Regions for Solar Cycle 22

  • According to the observations from September 1986 to April 1994, the five active indices are chosen. The indices are the maximum area of the sunspot groups in active regions, the index of the X-class X-ray flare in an active region, the maximum flux 10.7cm radio burst, the larger range fall of the solar total irradiance variations in short term, and the maximum flux greater than 10 Mev in the satellite level proton events. The 13 strongest solar active regions of AR5395, AR6555 and AR6659 etc. are comprehensively chosen from 3966 active regions for solar cycle 22 to researchers in the solar physics and the solar-terretrial physics to make research further. The characteristics of the unevenness and the relative concentricity etc. in the time and space distribution for these strongest active regions are also briefly analysed in this paper.
